Mad eclectic music and cabaret night in London’s Dalston.
Time Out rates the night highly saying, “If you only have six hours to live, visit the Gypsy Hotel”
The night is run by PR Angel, front man of the Urban Voodoo Machine
So finally here with the pictures from the shoot mentioned in my last post. Lady Ane wanted some portraits and promotional shots for her forthcoming website as well as flyers and cards. That will appear on the next post.
For now lets look at the shoot they did together. This is all in aid of a new act they will both do together called The Siamese Widows.
I caught up with lady Ane Angel for a portrait session and had the chance to try out my portable light stand and such as we did the shoot at her home in east London. I turned up early and we had a good breakfast and a chat then got down to business. As it happened a performer friend of hers was there from Paris and we ended up doing two shoots. I’ll let you see the results of that in a later post but for now her is my favorite portrait of the day of lady Ane.
Collaborated with Laura and Evelyn again to enter a make up contest. Laura has to submit a theme and make up a chart of her ideas. It was based around “bold being beautiful” and inspired by the band The Gossips. Evelyn’s boyfriend was there and needed a shot for his portfolio. The one included is my favorite.
You can contact Laura (make up artist) on the following e-mail, lr_rosso@yahoo.com and Evelyn (personal stylist / fashion designer / model) on noirev84@yahoo.it
Back when I first got the camera I use now I was at the airport on my way to New York. That was at xmas 2007 and we had a lovely time with our friends Adam and Tiger. New York impressed me immensely. I thought after London nothing much would impress me, but New York delighted me with its attitude and architecture. I thought I would share some of the highlights with you. Most of the pictures are from the top of the Empire State Building. Considering this beast was built back in the 1930’s its still has an incredible impact today. There are prettier buildings in New York, but none as iconic or quite so big.
