Aug 1st saw the debut night of Dark Burlesque. Set up in partnership by international burlesk performer Veronica Valentine and Simon Kennedy. The night was a roaring success and I was lucky enough to be invited along to take photos. The evening was covered by Internet Tv and The Hastings and St Leonards Observer. On July 2nd I attended a local show in Hastings. I contacted the organisers before hand and they were pleased for me to come along with my camera. On the night there were some wonderful acts and the whole atmosphere was great. It was a friendly crowd and below is a picture of Jessi, Felix, Scott, and Amy who i had a few words with after the show.
I made contact with many of the performers who were all really down to earth. Lady Serverian, the manager and compere of the night, sent me a wonderful recommendation and will be using my pictures on their website. Please visit my links page to see more. I have been invited back for their next gig on September 3rd and there is even more good news.
Another performer, the very talented Veronika Valentine, who runs another night called Dark Burlesque, has offered me a backstage photographers pass based on the strength of my pictures from the night.
