Saturday 28th November saw the finals for the Open Mic Uk competition in Portsmouth’s Guildhall. I was invited along by DistractTV for the 18 to 24 year old category. Its was great event and I had lots of fun shooting the show from upstairs. I had the floor to myself which was a real bonus. The standard was high but I think the winner was well chosen. Links below to Distract TV and a free photo gallery of the night. Get in touch if you want hi res versions or prints. Thanks to Gita and Abid for the pizza! Fantastic to work with you both.

Friday the 20th of November saw the Frills n Frolics night organised by Skinny Pete Promotions. The View venue in Folkestone was the setting this time and it was a small intimate place with great decorations and small stage upfront. There was no room for a photo area this time but it all worked out nicely anyway. Met some lovely people on the night, including a very friendly crowd.
Read on and see a few photos below.
Skinny Pete, Vivika Divine and friends.
The gorgeous Nicole and the elegant Sensu’Elle
Josie came along with singer Betty Feelgood. One of my fav shots of the night even if it is a little grainy.
Betty Feelgood before the show. Lovely girl.
The lovely Severine Sinful, the best Hostess a burlesque gig can have. Sevy did a fantastic job on the night and kept things moving along despite some technical music problems. Well done.
Nicole and Sensu’elle again, this time before the show enjoying the buffet put on by Pete
Misty Moore
Glory Pearl did two hilarious acts on the night including an old woman and a chimney sweep. I saw her a couple of months back in Hastings where she did an incredible pole routine. I had no idea she did such good comedy as well.

Novemeber 14th saw a great blues night at Charlotte Street Blues in London’s West End. In the shadow of the BT tower Its an odd mix of people, both young and old, and its an odd mix of food and live bands. Works really well and there are plenty out of the way places to chill out and chat if live music isn’t your thing. Below is pictured drummer Igor from Sons of Blues who where the support band for Joanne Shaw Taylor. Miss Taylor can certainly rock and the two bands had the crowd cheering for more.

Timeout published one of my shots from Haloween. Taken at the Henrick’s Haloween Ball organised by The Last Tuesday Society. The below photo appears on page 64 in this weeks issue. There is credit on the side of the page. Here is a link to the article online and the promoters.

As promised a few more shots from the Bella De Jac. Bella has been busy making a calender a seven of my shots were used. These actual shots do not appear in the calender but were shot on the same day. I’ve kept them small as they may be used in the future. Enjoy and thanks to Bella for a job well done.
