On Friday the 23rd April the Battle Royal night took place at the O2 venue in Islington. An incredible line up of 21 performers with artists from all over the world. It was another great night and I was lucky enough to be backstage after the show.
Here with some shots.

The LBW Red Carpet Event was the official opening night of a week long extravaganza of the best in international burlesque, organised by Chaz Royal and Beeby Rose.
Cafe De Paris was the venue of this first event on Tuesday April 20th.
I arrived to an array of paparazzi types photographers elbowing each other out of the way to get the shots. To be fair this wasn’t the case with all the photographers I met but there were one or two heavy handed types.
The Cafe de Paris is really a wonderful venue and it was a fantastic event all round, with fashion shows for Secrets In Lace, official sponsor, and plenty top quality burlesque.
The wonderful venue

DJ’s and Burlesquers from Belgium, Rebelles De L’Hotel. Lovely girls.
Honey Lulu
The one and only ex Bond Girl present, the fabulous Agent Black, presenting Secrets in Lace. Great energy about this lady, totally stylish, totally poised, and making girls half her age uncomfortable with their looks.
Chaz Royal and Beeby Rose. This shot is being used on the LBW website.
Gitta Selli, left, is the Distract TV presenter that asked me to Burlesque week in the first place. Here she is with her partner in crime, together they are - Gigi and Miss Sprinkle Cake, winners of one of the awards on the Battle Royal night.

Sunday the 18th saw the return of The Glitter Room night organised by DJ Suave. Mr Suave personally asked me to attend on the strength of some photos of mine which was a real compliment.
It was a lovely intimate affair with a really friendly staff. There was another photographer there called Derek Dremner who welcomed me, which I found really touching as photographers are often a closed mouthed bunch with each other. As it happened I bumped into him a few times this week as London Burlesque Week has been on and we covered a few of the same events.
The rest of the staff were very welcoming and Mr Suave showed me around backstage and introduced me to everyone.
The show itself was brilliant, with several top performers making this a really special night. Get yourself down to the next one, Croydon really isn’t that far.
The divine Banbury Cross. Fantastic performer, but very down to earth.
Lada Redstar watching the show after her amazing performance. Most of it was too hot to post here.
The brilliant Beulah Bell and Amber Rosia whom together are , The Ragdoll Rebels
Pippie Hotstocking, beautiful girl and great performer
Peter Storm is Elvis, Banbury Cross made an appearance too as Marylyn Monroe.
Betsy Rose, Pipie Longstocking, and Cherry Bomb backstage.
Doxy Moron’s shoes. Doxy was the lovely maid on the night but surprised us with a performance latter on.
The lovely Laura, crazy guest
Lada Redstar, everything a burlesque girl could aspire too. Very friendly and down to earth. She started the week at Gypsy Hotel, and pretty much performed every night during Burlesque Week before returning to Paris.
A guest with Tempest Rose
Wilfredo, funny, funny act.
Singer Cherry Bomb
Beulah Bell. So much energy and good feeling from this wonderful performer
The elegant Betsy Rose.

Another great event organised by Severine Sinful starring resident performer Domino Burlesk. It was held at Venuu Hastings as usual and it was a top night all round. The atmosphere was excellent and the performances top notch. Severine did another fine job on the evening and everyone had a great time. Here with some photos.

Caught up with Gita Selli from Distract TV for a little promotional photo shoot. Gita has asked me to be the official Distract TV photographer and my first assignment will be (has been) at The Cafe De Paris for London Burlesque Week red carpet event. Gita needed a few shots for her burlesque act she will be performing at the O2 center in Islington on the Battle Royal Night this Friday. Look for further posts on burlesque week coming shortly.
Easter Friday saw another great burlesque night organised by Skinny Pete Promotions. It was an intimate affair at a new location, The Beacon Court Tavern which is Gillingham Kent. There is a nice little stage for the next show Pete has a monitor set up for the back.

Made it into print this month with Burlesque Uk Magazine with an article on Domino Burlesque and a review of Burlesque Club in Hastings. One thing to say is that my name appears by every shot printed which is as things should be. Thanks to all involved and to Domino. Get your copy below.

Had a last minute wedding booking last week for Gordon and Linda. It was a great church that was special to Linda’s family and then later off to a country hall for food, speeches, and dancing.
Lots of great detail at this wedding and a heartfelt speech from the Groom (bride assisting) thanking friends and loved ones for support and favours.
Linda saw to it I was fed and watered which was really nice, great vegetarian food too.
The wedding album has been updated but here with a few shots of the day.
The couple wrote me a wonderful testimonial which I include here:
“The photos we have from our wedding really capture the atmosphere of the day with everything from our picturesque church and emotional service to our ceilidh with our friends spinning eachother across the dance floor. We have many memories of the day thanks to Sinan’s attention to detail and a wonderful set of portrait shots of our friends and family.” Linda & Gordon Morris, March 2010.
Thanks very much guys.
