Well its been a week of snow and I’ve been hard at work sorting out my massive photo library. Some measure of organisation is forming so look forward to plenty of new stuff.
So Gypsy Hotel ran a new years eve night at Bardens in London and it was a intimate and fun affair. We had various act, including live music from, Ria Green, Rasp Thorne, Matt Millership and The Urban Voodoo Machine, and dark cabaret from Captian Howdy’s Flying Circus, Suri Sumatra, Lady Ane Angel and Lalla Morte with Chris Martin. Everyone was on top form BUT THE URBAN VOODOO MACHINE were just inspiring, giving everyone a huge treat, filling the stage and managing to move around plenty despite the squeeze, for more than two hours.
All the performers stood up and gave us a little Midnight show which was a treat. Here a few shots and a gallery of performers and portraits. Follow the links below for facebook albums and links to more Urban Voodoo Machine photos on their website.
Happy New Year and lets hope 2010 is the start to a great decade.

On the 30th December I was asked to come along and take photo at the NYEE Masked Ball put on by The Last Tuesday Society. These parties are lavish events with something for everyone. Enjoy a jacuzzi in The Bath House or eat from the Feast Table with gold painted girls looking on. Perhaps catch a band on your way to the erotic still life class, or have a dance in the room next door.
Fantastic night all round.
I’m including here some of my favorite shots from the night but if you want to see more, head on over to The Last Tuesday Society Website where you can see a slideshow of photos picked out from the 300 plus shots I sent them by Suzette Field from the society.

The Gypsy Hotel night is going from strength to strength and I caught up with them in August before my holiday. Things have been that busy that it has taken till now to get these photos up. Live music, burlesque, and a burping competition were all part of the fun this time. I was looking for more portrait shots of interesting characters. Also my shots are being used by Suri Sumatra. Check out her link on the links page. Enjoy.

The Gypsy Hotel Extravaganza at the Hackney Empire was a complete success and one incredible night. The photos are in small as many are being considered for publication. More about that at a later date. I had so much fun backstage and took over 2000 photos, working for 18 hours straight. The Hackney Empire is an incredible venue and perfect for this type of night, with bars on every floor and a large areas in front of the stage for dancing. Above is a picture of Paul-Ronnie Angel, the organiser and front man of The Urban Voodoo Machine, who were the headline band of the night.

May has been hugely busy and there is still a wedding and a gig to go.
Gypsy Hotel is regular night that has been running for two years. I’ve photographed there many times and love the great atmosphere and varied types you get there. It runs mostly from Barden’s in Dalstons, London. On July the 3rd they have a super sized event running at the Hackney Empire. The organiser of the night, Mr. PR Angel (pictured below) will be headlining with his 9 pieces rock and roll gypsy blues band. Varied acts are running all night and with a capacity of 1400 people its gonna be a rockin night. Check out their links below.
